Popsicles, Piano, VBS, and LICE!!!!

Yes I said every mother's fear!  LICE!  Part of the reason I have been absent all last week.  I get to that...

We have been busy though, two weeks ago Addison and I made homemade popsicles because of all the heat.  The next day when they were ready I let the kids loose on them outside.  The pictures speak for themselves.

Needless to say this kid tore up the popsicle like he does any other food.

Then what does every good mom do after her kids are covered in red sticky goo, she lets them loose on the sprinkler and puts them in a pool in the front yard.

Addison discoverd that if you hold the noodle under the water long enough that water will fill it up and you can blow it out through one hole while your mother is on the other end of it getting wet.

The next day the kids and I were playing in the play room while Chad played on the piano.  Christian loves this kitchen that Addison got for Christmas last year.

Addison loves to play on the piano with her daddy.  Chad has gotten pretty good over the past couple years, Addison's favorite is when he plays the song from Tangled.  She runs around the room singing the song at the top of her lungs.

I am so blessed to have a husband that is so passionate about what our kids learn.  I love to sit and watch them learn together.

Finally last week was vacation bible school at our church and by the time I got home from a morning spent with eight 3-4 year olds I was pooped.  Then on Thursday evening as I was getting the kids out of their bath I discoved nits and lice in both Addison and Christian's hair (as well as my hair later on).  I did not take any pictures because this NOT something I want to remember at all, except for the fact Christian fell asleep with a green shower cap on his head and olice oil in his hair.

I must give props to my amazing husband again because while I was freaking out and sanitizing everything he spent two hours combing through Addison's hair and picking our every single nit and live lice.

It has to be one of the worst experiences of my life.  I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

Let's do this!

Okay so it is morning nap time, I hopefully have about 45 more minutes or peace and quiet from Christian letting me know how unhappy he is that I am not picking him up and Addison is content with Ms. Spider's friends on the big TV.

Where do I begin...let's start with Addison's new parent orientation last night at her new school. :)

For anyone that knows private school I just have to give this shout out, $3 for USED uniforms, you would have thought I would have hit the sale at Neiman Marcus the way I was picking up everything and buying it.  It was really quite cute though so guy was following me around and picking up everything I was picking up because his daughter was going to be in Addison's class next year and he wanted to get all the clothes before they were gone too.  He kept on asking me, 'Now did that fit her?'  'How many white shirts do you think we will actually need?'  First timer, so sweet.

I was quite interesting...I loved it actually.  One lady I didn't even know found out I was the new second grade teacher and she gave me a hug right across the table there.  During dinner Chad told some other moms that I was the new teacher and he said the whispers started to fly.  'Did you know so and so was leaving?'  'She's the new second grade teacher, ohhh.'  Who knew such a close knit community.  I am not letting it out that I happen to be a family friend with the AP.

Addison had a blast though, she even tried on her new uniforms.

Now onto Baby #3 news.  We found out last week that it is another boy!  Boy oh boy am I exctied!  (No really I am, just I really wanted a girl, but two boys 15 months apart, I will make up an 1/8 of a football team in high school.:)

She also told me that I am measuring a whole week ahead of schedule.  Knowing my babies she said that is not unusual but it means I will be roasting my own turkey at my own house.  Bring it on Walters and Thibodeauxs, this year Thanksgiving and football game will not be in College Station watching the big game, but at good ol' Katy, Texas.  Make this known though, I will not be in the hospital on Thanksgiving day or Black Friday morning.  You can put me in about 9 am on Friday morning, but no sooner.  Thanks!

So concludes my first post, let me know how I did.  Did I talk too much, not enough pictures, did I not focus enough???  For all you pro bloggers out ther (Ms. Emily Richardson, Erin Bailey, Aunt M, etc.)  I am sure you can give me some pointers.
